Series of Assaults
Since the beginning of the large-scale conflict in Ukraine, a string of Russian military personnel have been subjected to assaults within Moscow.
This new event follows other notable incidents, including:
- General Yaroslav Moskalik was died in a car bomb attack in Moscow earlier this year.
- General Igor Kirillov perished in late 2024 when a explosive concealed on a scooter was detonated remotely.
While a informant in the past linked Kirillov's death to Ukraine's security service, such assertions are rarely formally acknowledged as a matter of official stance.
The conflict has witnessed clandestine operations extending into the heart of the Russian capital.
The investigation into General Sarvarov's death is still ongoing.
