Approximately 90 Flights Linked to Epstein Reportedly Landed at or Took Off from UK Airports
Analysis has uncovered that close to 90 aircraft journeys associated to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein reportedly arrived at and departed from UK airports, with some allegedly having onboard women from the UK who assert they were exploited by the found guilty sex offender.
Flight Logs Uncover Pattern of Travel
The flight logs were part of a trove of court documents and papers made public by the estate of Jeffrey Epstein that have been released over the previous twelve months. The analysis uncovered 87 aircraft movements linked to Epstein – including many that were not previously known – coming into or leaving from UK airports between the start of the 1990s and 2018.
Onboard Individuals and Post-Conviction Flights
Unidentified “females” were documented among the travelers travelling into and out of the UK. Notably, 15 of these UK flights occurred subsequent to Epstein’s 2008 conviction for procuring prostitution from a underage person.
“It was ‘shocking’ that there had never been a ‘thorough probe in the UK’ into his dealings in the country,” remarked US lawyers representing hundreds of Epstein survivors.
UK Survivors and Court Cases
Evidence from one of the British victims helped convict Epstein’s associate socialite Ghislaine Maxwell of sex trafficking of minors in the US in 2021. But, that individual has never been contacted by British law enforcement, as stated by her attorney based in Florida.
In a response, the the Met stated they had “not received any additional information that would support restarting the inquiry.” They noted, “If fresh and pertinent information be brought to our attention, encompassing any resulting from the disclosure of material in the US, we will assess it.”
Ongoing Disclosure and Legal Rulings
Proposed legislation to release all files held by the American government in regarding Epstein was approved by the US Congress last month. The Department of Justice has until 19 December to adhere to this requirement. A vast number of documents are anticipated to be made public.
Additionally, a US judge decided last week that the department could make public case files from a sex-trafficking case against Maxwell, Epstein’s close friend, who is serving a 20-year jail term over the charges.
