Comedian and author David Walliams lost his contract with publishing house.
Acclaimed young adult author and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, the company has said.
A spokesman for the company said: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish future works by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the move was taken subsequent to an review of claims about inappropriate behaviour involving young women.
The company has not elaborated on the specific rationale behind the move, noting: "We refrain from speaking about confidential company decisions."
An Illustrious Writing Journey
Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, with sales exceeding in excess of 60 million copies internationally in five dozen languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Some of his titles, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into TV movies.
His bibliography includes over four dozen titles in total, including a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.
Television and Literature
His initial claim to fame came on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE in 2017 honoring his contributions to charity and the arts.
This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
