Expedition 33 Dominates at the 2025's Golden Joystick Awards
The forty-third annual Golden Joystick Awards took place recently, and in a stunning show, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 claimed the title of the most decorated winner. The standout role-playing game by Sandfall Interactive won the prestigious Ultimate Game of the Year award, along with accolades for Superb Storytelling and Excellence in Visuals.
Complementing the developer's achievements, the skilled cast also garnered personal awards. Jennifer English won Top Lead Actor for her performance as Maelle, while Ben Starr earned Best Supporting Actor for his role as Verso. Furthermore, Sandfall Interactive the studio was named Best Development Team. Overall, Clair Obscur and its developers achieved seven awards throughout the event.
Additional notable winners included Ghost of Yōtei, which received Outstanding Audio and Top Console Title, and Hollow Knight: Silksong, honored with Outstanding Independent Game and Best PC Game. Worth mentioning, the lion's share of Golden Joystick Awards are selected by the audience, with only four awards—Critics' Pick, Rising Star, Hall of Fame inductee, and Streamers’ Choice—judged by reviewers.
