Trump's Family Member Gets Expert Tips from Golf Legend Woods Before Professional Golf Debut
This young athlete has substantial social media following
Kai Trump can count on numerous well-known cheerleaders as she starts her LPGA debut this Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who happens to be the granddaughter of a former US president, was granted a sponsor's invitation to compete at Florida's Annika event in Florida.
Her grandfather, someone who loves golf, possesses numerous international courses and frequently competes against his granddaughter.
"He's pretty good. I can't reveal details but we have competitive games," she revealed.
The golfer shared that Trump, who cannot attend, counseled her: "Simply stay calm."
"My grandpa essentially advised me to play and have fun," she added.
"From my perspective, he's simply a regular grandfather. He won't be there this weekend. He's focused on world affairs, making him quite busy."
Being non-professional, the golfer has played in just three tournaments recently and has position 461 in the American Junior Golf Association rankings.
But she's able to receive tips from Tiger Woods, who is dating Vanessa.
"He stands as the greatest golfer globally," Kai stated.
"And he's a more impressive human being. He suggested me to go out there, have fun, adapting to the flow."
Kai will face several top competitors in women's golf at this tournament, including second-ranked the champion, England's Charley Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
Tournament organizers mentioned that Kai's presence exposes golf to wider groups, specifically with younger fans.
Kai maintains substantial online presence and recently launched a personal apparel and wellness company.
She begins at late afternoon GMT.
